Our Story
Surrounded by farms, offering warm home cooked meals and delicious masala chai, the Thikana offers four ensuite bedrooms styled minimalistically with bohemian interiors. Plan your next stay or drop by for some chai and conversations.
We aim to provide you the comforts of home while ensuring you have space and time to unwind, relax and take sunset strolls around the village.
Accomodation
Rooms Types: Boho Thikana offers four bedrooms each equipped with a double bed, chairs, side tables and fresh linen. We offer 3 room categories each offering a comfortable yet unique stay.
- Cinnamon: An adorable room named after the spicey warmth it offers! Equipped with a small kitchenette, private washroom and a double bed, it offers a view of the Dhauladhar right out the window!
- Clove & Pepper: Compact & punchy! Adorned minimalistically with macramé art, cane chairs and fresh linens, these rooms are furnished with a double bed, attached washroom and a cozy seating area.
- Cardamom: As the name suggests, this room is characterized by a delicate balance of sweetness and warmth. Windows opening to a view of the Dhauladhar range on one side, and farms on the other, the room offers an attached washroom, double bed and a spacious seating area.
Private Bathrooms: All bedrooms have attached bathrooms with geyser, toiletries, bidet and towels.
WiFi: 100mbps WiFi with 4 hours backup.
Common Room: A common room for work, study or play depending on your mood.
Television: For rainy days or match days, we have a television in the common room.
Garden: The garden is the perfect spot for chai & conversations.
Pet Friendly: Leo, a co-host at Boho Thikana, is a 2 year old friendly Labrador, who loves to make friends! Your pets are welcome at Boho Thikana at no extra charge! We do however request a heads up so we can address any compatibility concerns.
Terrace: The terrace offers a panoramic view of the Dhauladhar range, snow capped peaks and paragliders in the sky!

Paragliding Landing Site
Bir Landing is a wonderful place to enjoy the amazing sight of paragliders gliding through the skies. Usually, it is also known as the sunset point that attracts lots of tourists to watch the beautiful sunset. The soul stirring views of this place along with many cafes and restaurants make this a great place to visit.
Chokling Monastery
One of the most popular Tibetan monasteries in Bir is the Chokling Monastery, located in the middle of the Tibetan Colony. This monastery is beautifully painted in white and designed with other bright colors. A statue of Padmasambhava and a Stupa can be seen. The atmosphere here is quite refreshing and peaceful.
Chowgan Tea Garden
Chowgan Tea Garden is located in the lower suburb of Bir and various types of tea are grown over here. The climatic conditions of Bir are completely suitable for the growth of the tea. Watching these majestic hills along with the clouds is so pleasing to the eyes and is a pretty place for tourists to visit.
Baijnath Temple
Baijnath Temple is a popular Shiv Temple which is considered a holy site by the local community and also by tourists around the world. It is located at the backdrop of alluring Dhauladhar range and the breathtaking views of little mountains and streams complements the beauty of nature around the Baijnath temple.
